How easy it is to miss those little blessings when we don't take the time to just "be still."
The woman whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang. But, the woman did not hear.
So the woman yelled, "God speak to me!" And the thunder rolled across the sky. But, the woman did not listen
The woman looked around and said, "God let me see you." And a star shone brightly. But, the woman did not notice.
And the woman whimpered, "God show me a miracle!" And life was born. But, the woman did not know.
So, the woman cried out in despair, "Touch God and let me know you are there!" Whereupon, God reached down and touched the woman. But, the woman brushed the butterfly away and walked on.
Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect it to be!

A Prayer of Forgiveness
O Lord, open my lips and my mouth will declare your praise. Had you desired it, I would have offered sacrifice, but you take no delight in burnt offerings. The sacrifice of God is a troubled spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God you will not despise. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness: in your great compassion blot out my offenses. Wash me through and through from my wickedness, and cleanse from my sin.
A Prayer for Spiritual Renewal Almighty God, who has given us His only begotten Son to take away our sins, grant that we may be forgiven. Make us your children by adoption and grace, and may we be renewed daily by the Holy Spirit though Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
An Invitational Prayer
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful. Kindle in us the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we will be created and You shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit instructs the hearts of the faithful, Grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolations.

Almighty God, give consolation to the sorrowful and strength to the weak, and may the prayers of those in need of your comfort graciously come before you that they may receive your help and comfort. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
A Prayer for the Sick
Almighty God, hear our prayers on behalf of those who are sick. We implore your mercy that they be made whole again. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
A Prayer of Thanks
O Lord God, heavenly Father who without ceasing grants us abundantly all gifts and pure grace guards us against all evil, grant us your Holy Spirit that, acknowledging with our whole heart all your goodness, thanks and praise for your kindness and mercy, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
